  • hans The GFT Tribe Killer ride today in WI. 114 miles of hills, Fond du Lac to Milwaukee round trip. Major bonk when I ran out of fluids at 80 miles with nothing but corn fields and cows in sight. Got fluids at 95 miles and hammered home. Final gps verified speed.... 20.8 mph. I'm toast. No way I could run a marathon after that! Anyone else suffering?

  • hans The GFT Tribe Okay, I'm officially in for the ultra. This is my fourth iron distance event. No WTC "Ironman" branded events for me. I believe in supporting the independents. Living in WI with IM Moo in my backyard has shown me the ugly side of WTC - but that's a story for another time. I'm looking forward to 10/22/11. Coming down to do a little course recon in a few weeks.

  • Nathan Great Floridian Triathlon Anyone have any pointers worth sharing about the Great Floridian Triathlon (ultra)? I'm coming down from Panama City, FL this year. Any information about where to stay, course information, etc, would be greatly appreciated.

  • clclausen Great Floridian Triathlon Hey GFT athletes, anybody coming in from out of town and looking for nice place to stay? I have a spare bedroom and live right on the path by the lake, less than a half mile walk from the race start. There is room enough for 2-3 people. I'm looking for $30/night.
